Frequently asked questions
Do you take insurance?
No, this is a subscription-style practice with one, budgetable fee for unlimited care for the entire month. This frees us from the expense of the insurance middleman.
Can I submit paperwork to insurance for reimbursement?
No, since our fees are for a period of time rather than a single visit, typically most insurances would not provide reimbursement.
Do I still need insurance?
Yes. You need to carry at least a catastrophic policy to cover hospitalizations, emergency department visits, surgeries, specialists, and imaging like x-rays, CT scans, and MRI’s. While your Peace of Mind Medical Care fee covers a basic set of labs, you may require more complex labs and will be responsible for the cost of those. You will need prescription coverage or a prescription plan to pay for prescriptions.
What if I am out of town?
Call us first. Part of being a modern practice means accessing your doctor in a number of ways outside of the traditional office visit. Phone, text, email, or Skype might allow us to provide guidance from afar, saving you a trip to an Urgent Care. If you are on the road permanently as an RV’er or someone traveling for work, this practice might be perfect for you. We also support those patients who spend part of their year in our area and part of the year someplace warmer!
Where will I see you?
We have an office but can also make house calls to your home or your office in the Buena Vista area. Perfect for a busy family on the run, elderly, home-bound patients, and newborns.
How many months do I need to sign up for?
Just one month at a time. No long-term contracts required.
